Has been a book scout for over a decade. She launched and ran the UK arm of scouting agency Maria Campbell Associates building the client list to publishers in over 12 international markets, and working as the exclusive UK & International scout for Netflix for five years. Before that, she spent three years scouting in New York. She has worked in TV development, as a media consultant, a bookseller and ran an online literary magazine for several years.
Naja started her career in agenting in France in 2010, working for Susanna Lea Associates in Paris. She moved to London to become a scout, joining the UK arm of international scouting agency Maria Campbell Associates where she worked in partnership with Katie McCalmont for seven years. While there, she oversaw scouting from UK, France and Germany, and was particularly focused on growing the company's international scouting for Netflix. She grew up in Switzerland and speaks five languages.
Eleanor joined Zephyr in 2023 to scout Children's and YA titles. She started her career in antiquarian book dealing, moving to Little, Brown when she realised she preferred new books to old ones. She worked in the foreign rights department at RCW for ten years, interspersed with stints at Daunt Books and as an English editor at Renmin University Press in Beijing. She has a degree in Classics from Edinburgh University.
Alice joined Zephyr in 2024 after five years of scouting, first at Maria B Campbell Associates working for Netflix in the UK & Europe with Katie and Naja, and later at CTL Scouting. She's worked for a wide-ranging client list including A24, StudioCanal, and Working Title. She started her career at a talent agency in Paris, and also worked in foreign rights at Curtis Brown. She has a first-class degree in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and reads French and German fluently.
Benedict joined Zephyr in 2023 as an Associate Scout. He previously worked in a corporate PR job where he read a lot of press releases and occasionally had to wear a suit, before deciding that publishing was a much better fit. He read English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford.
